
Whiskey Fix
A pre-Prohibition classic and the ancestor of the modern sour. The Fix distinguishes itself with a float of rich fruit liqueur and a generous citrus garnish built right in the glass.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Bourbon
- 0.8 oz Fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 oz Simple syrup
- 0.5 oz Chambord or creme de mure

Instructions
Combine bourbon, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker
Fill shaker with ice and shake hard for 15 seconds
Fill a rocks glass with crushed or pebble ice
Strain the cocktail over the ice
Float the Chambord or creme de mure on top by pouring slowly over the back of a bar spoon
Garnish with a lemon wheel and a few fresh berries
