Tangerine Margarita
The citrus-forward margarita variation that took 2025 cocktail menus by storm. Tangerine's unique sweet-tart profile creates a brighter, more aromatic margarita than traditional lime alone. The craft bar answer to the frozen margarita machine — delicate, seasonal, and impossibly refreshing. — Crafted by Blinner with Love
Ingredients
- 2 oz Blanco tequila
- 1.5 oz Fresh tangerine juice
- 0.8 oz Fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz Agave syrup
- 0.5 oz Orange liqueur
- Tajin rim (garnish) garnish
- tangerine wheel (garnish) garnish
Pairs With
Pair with duck confit or mole negro to balance the tangerine's bright acidity with rich, savory flavors and warm spices. The citrus cuts through fatty dishes while complementing complex sauces.
Instructions
Run a tangerine wedge around the rim and dip in Tajin
Combine tequila, tangerine juice, lime juice, agave syrup, and orange liqueur in a shaker
Fill with ice and shake vigorously
Strain into the rimmed rocks glass over fresh ice
Garnish with a tangerine wheel
Tips
Tangerines are sweeter than oranges, so reduce the agave if your fruit is very ripe Blood oranges make a stunning color variation when tangerines aren't in season A pinch of smoked salt on the rim instead of Tajin adds a sophisticated edge
