
Espresso Martini with Baileys
The ultimate after-dinner cocktail combining Baileys Irish Cream with vodka and fresh espresso. A rich, caffeinated indulgence with a gorgeous crema foam on top.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Baileys Irish Cream
- 1 oz Vodka
- 1 oz Fresh brewed espresso (cooled)
- 0.5 oz Kahlua
- 3 coffee beans (garnish) garnish
Pairs With
Serve alongside dark chocolate truffles, tiramisu, or biscotti for dunking; the coffee-forward richness pairs beautifully with cocoa-based desserts and crispy Italian cookies.
Instructions
Brew a shot of espresso and allow it to cool for a few minutes
Combine Baileys, vodka, Kahlua, and espresso in a cocktail shaker
Fill shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds to build a thick foam
Double strain through a fine mesh strainer into a chilled martini glass
Carefully place three coffee beans on top of the foam in a triangle pattern
Tips
The espresso must be freshly brewed but slightly cooled — hot espresso will curdle the Baileys Shake harder and longer than you think necessary; the natural oils in the espresso create that signature crema foam If you do not have an espresso machine, strong cold brew concentrate works as a substitute
