Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Cognac
- 0.8 oz Calvados or apple brandy
- 0.8 oz Sweet vermouth
- orange twist (garnish) garnish
Pairs With

Instructions
Combine cognac, Calvados, and sweet vermouth in a mixing glass
Fill with ice and stir for 25-30 seconds until well chilled
Strain into a chilled coupe glass
Express an orange twist over the surface of the drink and drop it in
Tips
Calvados is traditional, but American apple brandy like Laird's works beautifully as a substitute This is an entirely stirred drink with no citrus; do not shake it or you will lose the silky texture Serve this before brunch as the original hangover cure it was designed to be
