Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Cognac
- 1 oz Dark creme de cacao
- 1 oz Heavy cream
- freshly grated nutmeg (garnish) garnish

Instructions
Combine cognac, dark creme de cacao, and heavy cream in a shaker
Fill shaker with ice and shake hard for 15-20 seconds to properly emulsify the cream
Double strain into a chilled coupe glass
Grate fresh nutmeg generously over the top
Tips
Shake longer and harder than a standard cocktail; the cream needs vigorous agitation to achieve a velvety texture Pre-ground nutmeg is a poor substitute for freshly grated; whole nutmeg and a microplane make a noticeable difference For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream
