Boulevardier
The bourbon-lover's Negroni, born in 1920s Paris at Harry's New York Bar. Swapping gin for bourbon adds caramel warmth and oaky depth to the classic Campari-vermouth backbone.

- 1 oz Sweet vermouth
- orange peel twist (garnish) garnish
- luxardo cherry (garnish) garnish

Stir for 30 to 40 seconds until well-chilled and silky
Strain into a chilled coupe glass
Express an orange peel over the surface of the drink

Tips
A high-rye bourbon like Bulleit or Four Roses Single Barrel adds a spicy backbone that complements the Campari The coupe presentation is elegant, but this drink is equally at home on a large rock in a rocks glass Let the drink rest for 30 seconds after straining — the flavors knit together as it opens up slightly
