Baileys Salted Caramel White Russian
A modern riff on the White Russian that replaces plain cream with Baileys and adds salted caramel for a rich, butterscotch-tinged twist the Dude himself would approve of.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Baileys Irish Cream
- 1 oz Vodka
- 1 oz Kahlua
- 0.5 oz Salted caramel syrup
- caramel drizzle on inside of glass (garnish) garnish
- flaky sea salt (garnish) garnish
Pairs With
Complement with salted caramel brownies, caramel apple slices, or butterscotch pudding; the sweet-salty caramel profile demands equally indulgent caramel-forward desserts.
Instructions
Drizzle salted caramel syrup in streaks along the inside of a rocks glass
Fill the glass with ice cubes
Pour vodka and Kahlua over the ice
Slowly pour Baileys over the back of a spoon to create a layered effect
Sprinkle a few flakes of sea salt on top and serve with a stir stick
Tips
Let guests stir the drink themselves to watch the layers swirl together Use flaky Maldon sea salt rather than fine table salt for a better visual and texture Salted caramel syrup is available at most coffee shops and grocery stores, or make it by stirring caramel sauce with a pinch of salt and warm water
