Ingredients
- 2 oz London dry gin
- 0.5 oz Maraschino liqueur
- 0.3 oz Creme de violette
- 0.8 oz Fresh lemon juice

Instructions
Add gin, maraschino liqueur, creme de violette, and fresh lemon juice to a shaker with ice
Shake vigorously for 12-15 seconds until well chilled
Double strain into a chilled coupe glass
Allow the pale violet color to settle for a moment
Garnish with a brandied cherry on a cocktail pick
Tips
Use creme de violette sparingly; too much turns the drink perfumey and overly sweet Rothman & Winter is the most widely available and well-balanced creme de violette If the drink looks grey rather than lavender, you may have added too much lemon; adjust by a quarter ounce
