Amaretto Espresso Martini
Make an energizing espresso martini with amaretto for rich almond flavor. Easy recipe with vodka, coffee & Disaronno. Perfect after-dinner cocktail.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Vodka
- 1 oz Amaretto
- 1 oz Freshly brewed espresso (cooled)
- 0.3 oz Simple syrup
- three coffee beans (garnish) garnish
Pairs With
Serve with dark chocolate mousse or affogato (vanilla gelato with espresso) to echo the drink's nutty coffee-almond profile. The sophisticated pairing works as an elegant after-dinner treatment.
Instructions
Brew a shot of espresso and allow it to cool to room temperature
Combine vodka, amaretto, cooled espresso, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker
Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds to create a frothy top
Double strain through a fine mesh strainer into a chilled martini glass
Float three coffee beans on the foam as garnish
Tips
The espresso must be freshly brewed and cooled — instant coffee will not produce the same crema and foam Shake extra hard to develop the signature frothy layer on top; the foam should be thick and persistent Reduce or omit the simple syrup if your amaretto is particularly sweet — taste the shaker before straining
